In 2023, qualified professionals aim to change jobs

A survey recently carried out by Robert Half pointed out that qualified professionals are looking for new jobs for this year. The company selects and recruits candidates for the job market and, in an interview, stated that 39% of professionals intend to look for a new opportunity. 1,161 professionals were interviewed: recruiters, unemployed professionals and employed professionals in different regions of Brazil. Career change has been a frequent phenomenon

The identified index could cause serious inflections in the job market. The survey showed that 4% of qualified professionals were unemployed in the last three months of last year, with a professional average of 25 years of age and higher education. Overall, unemployment hit 8.7%, securing the lowest market rates since 2015. These numbers can represent significant changes when it comes to work.

Fernando Mantovani, managing director of Robert Half in South America, commented on the matter:

“The increasingly low unemployment rates bring us closer to what we can call a 'candidate market', in which they are the protagonists of labor relations. Priorities have changed in recent years and we can see the reflection of this in this desire for movement professional”, he stated.

The study organized by the researchers showed professionals who are willing to go in search of jobs that match the moment they live and that completely fit their personal profile.

When asked who would be willing to change companies and look for new opportunities, 61% of respondents said they intend to make changes within the same area. Another 39% of those interviewed said they were interested in looking for a new professional area to work in.
