At times, a five-day working week can be too much for workers, so as to lead, in extreme cases, to the Burnout syndrome. The organization 4 Day Week Global studies results regarding the implementation of a week with only four working days.
Recently, they released the biggest result of the experiment. In the survey, 61 companies and 2,900 employees were involved. See below for details.

Overwork has been harming thousands of workers, which is why a six-month study was carried out in which the workload was reduced without any type of salary change.
The results showed that there was a 71% reduction in Burnout and a slight increase in productivity.
Held between June and December of last year, the biggest gains were in relation to workers' mental health.
About 39% said they were less stressed and 54% said they had less negative emotions. In addition, 37% reported improvements in physical health, 46% less fatigue and 40% less difficulty sleeping.
Another important point that was observed is that the type and size of the organization do not interfere at all in the application of the strategy.
The difference is that non-profit employees saw an increase in time spent with physical exercises, while the construction ones recorded the greatest reductions in Burnout and problems with sleep.
The companies that participated in the experiment gave it a score of 8.5. It was observed that, although there was a reduction of one working day, the companies' revenue increased approximately 1.4%.
In the end, 56 companies decided to join this new work methodology. Of the five that decided to go against it, two of them decided to test the strategy for a while longer.
4 Day Week Global has already tested the method in 91 companies and 3,500 workers around the world. Among the countries included, we can highlight: United States, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
