Samsung has started disclosing the details of upcoming releases. In a mixture of the past and the future, the company's present will be a reminder of when it was possible to remove the battery from the device in extreme cases. Little by little, the smartphone giant takes up old concepts – such as folding devices.
This time, the novelty focused on the batteries of the brand's foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5, with discovery of details designed by the Galaxy Club. The novelty arrives to change the current scenario and resumes an old process about batteries. Incidentally, Samsung remains the only company on the scene with foldable smartphone options.

According to the website, the devices are a mix of the old device – which allowed you to remove batteries – and future generations of smartphones. The batteries can be easily removed, replaced and recycled, as was possible just a few years ago with many telephone devices.
The three removal possibilities, either to change the battery or to recycle, have already been added to the Galaxy S23 as a sustainable measure. For this to be possible, Samsung had to modify the internal design of the device, make moderate use of glue and modified the accuracy of the battery itself.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have two parts: the EB-BF732ABY and EB-BF731ABY models. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will have two batteries: EB-BF947ABY and BF946ABY, with the second option being capable of holding 1,040 mAh, with all batteries being manufactured in China by the company ATL.
For now, Samsung has not announced when the future foldable devices will be launched, as the latest models were announced in August 2022. It is expected that the novelty will be launched later this year, although the South Korean company has not announced the novelty with removable batteries.
