Sweet potato recipe with sugar that you won't regret

Sweet potato is a root very rich in vitamins A, E, C, K and complex B that are versatile and can be used in recipes, both sweet and savory. Sweet potato with sugar, caramelized, is an easy candy that uses very few ingredients. It is usually served as a dessert, but it can also make a different accompaniment. caramelized sweet potato recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 sweet potatoes;
  • ½ cup of sugar (preferably brown);
  • 2 cups of water.

Method of preparation

  • First, peel the potatoes and cut them into slices;
  • Book them in a container with water and vinegar;

Tip: Vinegar is used to prevent the potatoes from browning.

  • Then put the sugar in a pan over low heat and stir until it melts;
  • Add ¼ of a tea cup of water and keep stirring until everything is diluted;

Tip: Sugar forms crystals when added to water, but they will melt after a few minutes.

  • Then pour the potatoes next to each other and put in the rest of the water;

Tip: If necessary, add more water so that the potatoes are completely covered.

  • Then, leave the potatoes cooking in the covered pan for 20 minutes (half the time, turn them), so they will cook and caramelize;
  • Finally, turn off the heat, put the potatoes in a container and pour the syrup you made on top.
  • They are ready to serve!

To use this recipe as a delicious side dish, make a very simple chicken breast, but it will provide you with a very tasty and practical meal!

Simple Chicken Breast Recipe: Bonus

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of chicken breast;
  • 1 tablespoon wheat flour;
  • ½ chopped onion;
  • 1 spoon of olive oil or oil;
  • ½ green pepper;
  • ½ chicken broth;
  • 1 cup of milk;
  • Nutmeg and salt to taste.

Method of preparation

First, take a pan, wait for it to heat up and pour in the oil or olive oil, the onion, the peppers and the chicken breast;
Then let it cook for approximately 15 minutes, stirring constantly;

Tip: if you feel the need, add some water.

Put the dissolved chicken broth and then sprinkle with the wheat mixing well all the contents in the pan;
Finally, add the milk and stir until it reaches a thicker consistency and it's ready.

Tip: add more milk if necessary, it should go according to your preference for the consistency of the sauce.
