The itching in her ear tormented her. He took the bunch of keys, stuffed the thinnest one into the cavity. He lightly scratched the pavilion, then sank into the waxed hole. And he turned, turned the tip of the key with bliss, looking for that exact spot where the itching would cease.
Until, firecracker, he heard the slight snap and, the key at last in its socket, he realized that the head was slowly opening.
