the pirates' flag

A long time ago, a boy named Léu grew up in a poor orphanage. He was quiet and dreamed of being a sailor. One day, the older boys made a plan to get rid of Leu. They fled to the city and left him alone, near the harbor wharves. Dazzling with the huge ships, Leu entered one of them. He didn't even notice that the ship was setting sail at that moment. He found a black cloth with a funny skull design. A sailor sent up the pirates' flag!

With flag flying from the mast, Léu was taken to the captain of the ship. And the boy was admitted as the sailor's apprentice. Happy, Léu became a trusted member. He learned that the pirates' flag served to drive away the real pirates. Piracy was not a good thing. Leu's ship was a freighter carrying valuable goods and needed a defense. Leu became a worthy sailor. He never did without the pirate flag to sail safely, with the queen's treasures across the seas!
