In addition to energies already known renewable energies, the wave derivative is also among them. According to Eco Wave Power (EWP), the start of construction of the first large-scale wave power plant will be given. It is estimated that around US$ 150 million will be invested to build the 77 MW unit.

The new plant will be installed on the Turkish Black Sea coast. Smart, innovative and cost-effective technology will be used to transform the waves oceanic and maritime into green electricity.
Initially, the project will be in the port of Ordu with 4 MW and, later, it should advance to a fixed and modular array of 77MW. The plant's mechanism would work through an underwater umbilical pipeline to an onshore transformer, thus generating sustainable energy.
The estimated value of costs is US$ 150 million.
According to Mustafa Kemal Macit, CEO of Ordu, the EWP will be a key asset to bring this project to fruition and also to start using the full potential of the sea in the region to generate energy.
In order to consolidate ties between Turkey and Israel, the Israeli Prime Minister and the Turkish President are determined to establish agreements that economically favor both countries.
This newly developed technology is recognized as a pioneer by Israel's Chief Scientist and is awarded the Solar Impulse Foundation's Efficient Solution label.
EWP CEO Inna Braverman pointed out that Turkey is a great place to install and develop innovative technologies, so it will rank among the biggest. In the United States, for example, the annual theoretical potential of waves off the coast is estimated at up to 2.64 trillion kWh, equivalent to about 64% of the country's total generation.
