The polar bear does not sleep, it hibernates. During this period, your entire organism changes. Your body temperature drops, your breathing slows, and your heartbeat is barely noticeable. This is necessary for him to save energy and manage to survive, as during the coldest times there is little food in the regions where he lives. The hibernation period does not always last six months, it varies according to the weather and the animal's physical conditions. There are other animals that hibernate, such as arctic squirrels and marmots.
