Disney princesses tell stories of warrior women in search of dreams

One of Disney's most classic stories, Cinderella tells the story of a girl who used to be mistreated by her family: her sisters and stepmother.

But, as if by magic, Cinderella attends a ball dressed as a princess and loses her glass slipper, found by the prince she danced with.

In addition to Cinderella, Snow White, Moana, Merida, Rapunzel and Tiana are also princesses in the franchise, alongside Mulan, Pocahontas, Jasmine, Belle, Ariel and Aurora.

All Disney princesses are part of a film in the franchise, the oldest is Snow White, from the film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, released in 1937.

Aurora, from the movie “Sleeping Beauty”, Ariel, from “The Little Mermaid”, and Belle, from the movie “Beauty and the Beast”, came after Snow White and Cinderella, between the years 1959 and 1991.

The last Disney princesses who passed the selection to be part of this select group are Merida, from the movie “Brave”, released in 2012, and “Moana”, from the movie with the same name, released in 2016.
