It is not enough for sunglasses to be dark to protect our eyes from the sun! Our pupils vary in size according to the amount of light that arrives. Thus, by covering them with dark lenses, we promote the dilation of the pupils which allows more light to enter the organ. But sunlight is not just visible light. If the lenses don't block the passage of ultraviolet rays (the so-called UV rays), we can damage our retina in the same way that these rays damage our skin. Choose your sunglasses wisely and always check if they ________ protection against UV rays!
