The purpose of the malware is to allow hackers to gain access to banking information on devices so that they can steal money from accounts. It is a more dangerous version of the Aberebot Android banking trojan, as it manages to dominate the Android device via VNC, even allowing it to record audio and take pictures.
The creator advertises on a Russian hacker forum the rental of the malware “Escobar Bot Android Banking Trojan” for $3,000 monthly, which is equivalent to R$ 15,240, and according to him, the complete version will be sold at US$ 5,000, equivalent to R$ 25.400.
Also according to the creator, the malware manages to circumvent the security of 190 banks, stealing data and application codes used by users.
