Who is Honorato? They say, around Pará, that he is an enchanted boy, who was transformed into a snake and lives in the rivers of the region. How did he get like this? Well, one day, walking along the riverbank, he was sorry for living so alone, without company. Iara, an enchanted being, heard his lament and drew the boy into his freshwater kingdom and Honorato disappeared forever.
But, on days of revelry, he reappears, always after midnight. He drops his snake choir at the riverbank and transforms into a handsome boy. Eat, drink, have fun and dance with the most beautiful girl in the region. Before dawn, it disappears. It disappears like smoke in the air and goes back to the bottom of the waters.
