O Milonga olive oil competed in the EVO IOOC Italy competition in 2022, one of the largest in the area, and received the award for the best olive oil in the Southern Hemisphere. This is because, according to the competition criteria, oils from different hemispheres are prevented from competing with each other.
In addition to the top prize for Brazilian olive oil, Milonga received gold medals for the combination of Arbequina and Coratina and silver medals for the olive from Greece Koroneiki.
Milonga olive oil had its first commercialization in 2021, in small volume, directed to the Brazilian domestic market. However, the company's growth was increasing and, this year, the product began to be sold on a larger scale. This process had relative climate “help”, since from 2022 it was possible to increase the production yield to 3,000 liters.
Prices for one of the best olive oils in the world vary according to each product, with the most common, the 250 milliliter bottle, going for R$45 on the store's website. In addition, they have physical stores in Porto Alegre, at two points: the first is at Armazém dos Imported, at Rua Padre Chagas, 167, while the second store is at Banca 43, located at Rua Carlos Trein Son, 1100.
