Northern Lights

The kids are talking about the exciting dark night they just had.
- And you know what? – Babi sheep asks – We saw the Northern Lights.
- What is it? – the snake Silvia asks curiously.
– It looks like a curtain of colored lights – blue, green, red, yellow – rippling across the sky. Mom said we were lucky to see it.
– I wish we had seen it… – Silvia says sadly.
During dinner, Silvia asks Mom and Dad if she can try to see the Northern Lights before going to bed.

- It is clear! In fact, we can go to Firefly Meadow to try and see her. And you can stay up a little later if we see you. It's something very special. It doesn't happen very often - says Dad.
After dinner, they head to the Prado dos Fireflies. Without the street lights, it's pretty dark in there.
'Now look north… That way… And see if you can see her,' Dad says, pointing.
Silvia is silent, looking at the sky.
– Is that that over there? - She suddenly screams.
- Yea! We are in luck tonight! - Mom smiles.
The snake family watches, fascinated, the undulating colors that change in the night sky.
- Wow! This is really fantastic! I don't even want to go to sleep tonight! – Silvia exclaims.
But it's very cold, and after a while they head home.
– Thank you, Mom and Dad – Silvia says sleepily as they put her to bed.
