Ziraldo

Ziraldo Alves Pinto was born on October 24, 1932, in Caratinga, Minas Gerais. He started his career in the 50s in newspapers and magazines of expression, such as Jornal do Brasil, the cruise, Sheet of mines, etc. In addition to being a painter, he is a poster artist, journalist, playwright, cartoonist, caricaturist and writer.

Fame started to come in the 60s, with the launch of the first Brazilian comic book made by a single author: The Turma do Pererê. In 1969, Ziraldo published his first children's book, FLICTS, which won fans all over the world. From 1979, he focused on the production of children's books and, in 1980, he launched Crazy little boy, one of the greatest editorial phenomena in Brazil of all time.
