NAME:

The memories of the Witch Onilda

My mother, the Witch Witch, belonged to an old family of witches and wizards, which was almost gone. She urgently needed an heir! Precisely for this reason she decided to have a daughter. Thus, the family could continue to exist and the great knowledge and powers accumulated over thousands and thousands of years by their ancestors would not be lost. My mother began to study in books which would be the best astrological, geographical and for her daughter – that is, me – to be born with all the possibilities of being the best witch of the world. Her great-aunts, the Fifi witch and the Gossip witch, helped my mother a lot to find the exact time and the right place for me to be born. The right place was exactly the top of a tree. It wasn't very comfortable, but my mother, anxious as she was, managed to get comfortable. All that was left was to wait...

One fine day, my mother started to feel sick.
- There! There! There! What do I have? - He began to scream.
– Hang in there, Bruxolona – said the great-aunts – because, according to the stars, the girl can only be born the day after tomorrow.
My mother couldn't take it anymore. Then:
- Ready! It's over!
Oh, I was born. I was born two days ahead of time. They had done so much for me to be born a perfect witch, that I came into the world dressed as a witch and all! Me – of course! – I kept poking my mother's stomach with that pointy hat we wear. And the poor thing couldn't take it anymore. It was a disaster! Because of the difference in day and time, the stars were not in the correct position for me to be born. That's why I've always had to face so many problems my entire life.
The news of my birth went fast. The witches and wizards of the family and the closest friends came to meet me soon. What a party they prepared! I was super happy because everyone gave me presents and liked me.
