Workers born in September can now receive up to R$ 1,000 from the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS). The money, which was released on May 28, is deposited in a digital account that is normally used to pay social and social security benefits by Caixa Econômica Federal. The only way to access FGTS withdrawal values is using the Caixa Tem application (available for Android and iOS), which allows you to pay household bills and make virtual purchases in places not convenient. Caixa Tem also allows the withdrawal of funds from electronic bank accounts and the transfer of money to third-party accounts.
The release of resources follows a schedule based on the month of birth, according to the calendar, which was released in March. Thus, workers will be able to have access to the money until June 15th. The entire withdrawal request procedure is computerized. Therefore, the citizen will not need to go to a bank branch, and instead, will carry out the entire procedure via cell phone.
However, the worker must be attentive. This is because, in general, the money will be deposited directly into the savings account, but if the data is incomplete, this will not be possible. In this case, the worker must request the release of funds.
The worker should also be aware of another point regarding the withdrawal of money. The resources will be available until December 15th and will be returned to the FGTS account after that date if the money is not spent, withdrawn or transferred to another account.
Money not used will be returned to the FGTS with the necessary corrections made by returning the Guarantee Fund for the period in which it was held in a digital account.
