As you stroll through the streets of China's upscale neighborhoods, you may come across the following scenario: LED lights on the shaped like rings, microphones and professional cameras filming people talking non-stop sitting on the floor of sidewalks.
It seems unusual, after all, there are several options for more pleasant places to talk to people who accompany the ''streamers'' in their ''lives''. However, there is a strategy behind this practice. Know more:
location strategy
Assuming that the contents must be directed to people close to or with the same interests, networks Social media usually publish paid content based on the user's browsing history or the location they are find. For example, if you want to sell a product, you will probably advertise it to people who are just a few meters away from your establishment.
The same goes for lives. When using the location feature, many streamers (i.e. digital influencers who live chat with viewers) tend to locate themselves in upscale neighborhoods with the hope that their lives will be publicized to people close to them and, because they live in wealthy regions, they can usually contribute more donations.
Is there any evidence that this technique works?
There is no proof, after all, the live platforms have not confirmed that the content is more publicized – and that the result is greater contributions – due to the use of the location feature. However, Chinese influencers seem to assiduously try this way of publicizing their lives.
It's safe?
According to influencers, the practice is not dangerous. This happens because there are countless lives happening concurrently, so that if any harassment or robbery attempt happened, there would be several cameras pointed at the offenders, which crime.
In general, lives take place at night.
