Read this text that tells us about the movie Ulysses, directed by Carlo Ponti.

based on the work The Odyssey from Homer, this film tells the saga of Ulysses (Kirk Douglas) who, after fighting 10 years in the Trojan War, tries to return home to his beloved wife Penelope (Silvana Mangano). After getting lost from the fleet of ships during a storm, our hero will travel uncharted paths by land and sea, facing countless soldiers and the gigantic Cyclops Polyphemus. He will face the fury and lies of the gods, like Poseidon, and will shed blood and sweat to stay alive. Finally in Ithaca, his homeland, he will face his last and most dangerous challenge.
