the curious teddy bear

A teddy bear, who loved painting canvases, was curiously walking through the woods when he saw a hole in the trunk of a tree. Looking closely, he noticed that in that hole there was a continuous coming and going of bees.

- What to do?

Some of them, flapping their wings, whirled around the hole as if on sentry duty; others, coming from afar, entered; some went out and disappeared into the woods.

The teddy bear, always curious, stretched out and put his snout in the hole; he sniffed and then stuck a paw inside. When he withdrew it, it was dripping with honey.

He had barely begun to lick it, when a cloud of furious bees came out of the hole and launched themselves at him, stinging his nose, muzzle, ears…

The teddy bear tried to defend itself, but the bees kept coming back. Furious, he tried to get revenge by running after one or the other, but he couldn't get revenge on any of them; at last he rolled on the ground, overcome by terror and stings, and ran crying to his mother.

You must never stick your muzzle where you are not called.
