In January, the Federal Government began removing irregular registrations from Bolsa Família to give access to those who are entitled. That is, the exclusion of these irregular people directs new beneficiaries, with the right, to the program's payroll.
By the end of this year, irregular beneficiaries will be cut from Bolsa Família and will no longer receive the monthly transfer, as confirmed by the ministry. Wellington Dias, Minister of Development, estimated that 2.5 million beneficiaries were in an irregular situation, of which 1.4 million have already been cut.
The fine-tooth comb continues to be designed by the ministry, and the removal of another 1.1 million people from the payroll is part of the government's plans. According to information, they are beneficiaries who do not fit the rules to receive Bolsa Família or beneficiaries who have not updated their data with the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico).
The Federal Government sent around 12,000 employees to CRAS (Reference Centers for Social Assistance) in the municipalities to reinforce the review of registrations.
With the review of the registrations, the CRAS are calling the titular beneficiaries to attend in person. The rule says that the program holder needs to update the data every 2 years to verify that it is still within what is required.
It will be necessary to schedule a specific date and time to assess issues related to Bolsa Família, but in some cases, employees can come to the residence. Whoever is summoned and does not attend will have the benefit cut off for up to two months from the month of May.
