NAME:
In 2014, Jhovany went down playing ball and broke two front teeth. He sought help at health centers, but he couldn't get it. Without solving the problem, he was embarrassed to leave the house. That's when he remembered the “Turma do Bem”, which he had met through another NGO in which he participated. He got in touch and was finally treated. Four months later, Nick, his younger brother, was screened and called: “I had a lot of cavities. I learned to brush my teeth better and to floss,” he says. The two are nothing but praise for the dentist who attends them, Rodrigo Averaldo: “If there is any problem, we have someone to turn to,” says Jhovany. The older brother says that it would be impossible to pay for the treatment: “Our mother is a housewife and raises us alone. We are the youngest of six brothers.” Grateful, the young man shows that he has regained his confidence: “I'm not ashamed to smile anymore!”.
