Pelé had been hospitalized since November 29 at the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein to treat the disease. He filed for a reassessment of the chemotherapy. In addition, a respiratory infection was also discovered.
The King of Football showed progressive improvement at the beginning of the month. He had stable vital signs and was conscious. However, the condition has worsened since the last day 21, when the athlete needed measures to treat kidney and heart dysfunction.
