First, remove the bottom part of the onion, then turn it over, leave the root part facing up, then slice carefully so the root doesn't break.
Then dip the onion in a container with ice water and leave for about 15 minutes.
While waiting for the onion to soak in the water, take a bowl and add the water, the egg, the wheat flour, the salt, the pepper and the smoked paprika. Once done, mix well.
After that, dry the onion well and pass it in the mixture you just made, then bread all the “petals” of the blooming onion with the panko flour.
Turn on the airfryer at 160°C, add a drizzle of olive oil and bake for approximately 10 minutes. The perfect point is when the onion is golden.
