In March, drivers who chose the installment option will have the last payment step. For this, the State of São Paulo Finance and Planning Secretariat (Sefaz-SP) relies on the collaboration of all drivers, demanding that they pay the IPVA (tax on Property of Auto-vehicles) 2023.
This year, specifically, the Sefaz-SP chose the due month day equally for all installments. For example, the taxpayer who opted for the installment will have a fixed day during the installment months: February 11th, March 11th and so on. The measure was taken so that drivers in São Paulo would have no doubts.

Vehicles with the end of license plate 1 expired last Saturday (11), license plate 2 expired last Sunday (12); the bill can be paid until this Monday for both salaries. The card ending in 3 expires this Monday (13th) and counts as the last day to pay the third installment.
Expiration dates that coincide with a holiday or weekend will have the next business day as the expiration date, as occurred in the last few days. The plates with the ending 1, 2 and 3, therefore, win this Monday (13).
The payment schedule will continue until the 24th of this month and will be according to the end of each card. To consult the amount to be paid, it is recommended to directly access the São Paulo State Department of Finance and Planning portal. The other option to access the amount is to go directly to the bank agency responsible for collecting the tax.
Delay of the general installment is subject to a fine of 0.33% for each day of delay, calculated using the Selic rate. After 2 months of delay, the fine starts to consider 20% of the total amount of the tax.
