This is an alert message for all pensioners and retirees registered with the National Institute Social Security (INSS): learn to always check if any amount is being deducted from your benefits. This is because several beneficiaries claim that they have already had undue discounts on their accounts.
Generally, beneficiary payroll deduction errors occur when they are related to loans from financial institutions. As much as there is authorization for the deduction of some amount from the account of these beneficiaries, the confusion occurs when they are done without prior authorization or occur several times, for no reason apparent.
In some situations, discounts occur erroneously, with values greater than what was agreed in the contracting the loan, and in other cases frauds occur, in which there is no consent of the recipient. Another possibility is that they deceived these beneficiaries with illusory value rates.
The first step to find out if the discounts on your INSS payroll are correct is to pay close attention. Always carefully review your entire account statement.
Another very important tip is: doubt offers that seem very good, as there is probably a catch that will lead to possible fraud. Therefore, do not provide your data to strangers over the internet or cell phone.
The first step, if you realize that you are being discounted for an amount that you did not authorize in your account, is to contact your financial institution or the bank that released this possible loan. Request that it be canceled and that you be reimbursed for the discounted amount, as it is a fraud.
Then go to a Civil Police station and register a case. Soon after, try to contact the INSS, Procon and the Social Security Ombudsman to report the fraud.
