With a lineup full of new and old films, Tomorrow's War It is Jolt stood out from the other releases in the month of July. Check out the July highlights for Amazon Prime Video and what debuts on the platform between July 15th and 25th:
Jolt (2021)
You really don't want to piss off Kate Beckinsale in Jolt, the Amazon Prime movie that hit the streaming service this week. The new action-thriller stars Beckinsale, who plays a woman named Lindy who has a disorder that makes her extremely moody - the kind of temper that causes her to become homicidal when a man pushes her on the subway or when a waitress is rude to her boyfriend in a restaurant.
Fortunately, Lindy has a great therapist (Stanley Tucci), who tests an experimental electroshock treatment on Lindy. Now, every time Lindy gets angry. But will she be able to overcome her anger and date like a normal woman? You'll have to watch and find out. This film is as funny as it is heartwarming and a triumphant return to action for Beckinsale.
Tomorrow's War
A man named Dan Forester (Chris Pratt) is summoned to fight a war 30 years in the future, where the fate of humanity depends on its ability to confront the past. The all-star cast of this highly anticipated film includes Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, JK Simmons, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge and more.
El Cid (Season 2)
El Cid returns for a second season, picking up the storyline after King Ferdinand's death. His sons, Sancho, Alfonso and García, rule the kingdoms of Castile, León and Galicia, respectively.
