The first step in learning how to replace gas is to turn off the register and other sources of ignition and sparks nearby. If necessary, use a kitchen hammer to give you more strength (this item should be part of your list of essential kitchen utensils).
Ideally, you clean your cylinder with a cleaning product and a dry cloth as soon as the cylinder is delivered to you.
A very common mistake is to remove the seals with sharp objects. For your safety, always carefully remove the seal by hand. Therefore, avoid using knives or scissors during this step, as this could damage the valve.
Take your empty cylinder, remove the pressure regulator and then place it on the new valve, using only your hands.
Take a sponge soaked in soapy water and run it over the valve to check that there are no gas leaks. If bubbles come out of the foam, you will realize that your gas is leaking, and then you will have to repeat the installation process.
Finally, always check that the structure of the installation is correct. However, in case of persistent leakage, do not hesitate to turn off the register and call the tag number, thus calling a qualified professional.
