The completion of the National High School Examination (ENEM) in 2022 will again rely on the application of its digital version. The application of the test will take place on the 13th and 20th of November. Since the tests have different formats, they will also have their differences, such as the enrollment limit, the candidate profile and the application method.

In common, the two have 180 questions in all, plus an essay, and will be composed of 45 objective questions of Languages, Codes and their Technologies, 45 of Human Sciences, 45 of Mathematics and their Technologies and 45 of Natural Sciences and their Technologies.
The main difference between the two tests is in the form of application. While the printed version requires students to mark the template on the tests with a black ballpoint pen, the digital test is completed using the computer.
In addition, the tests may be held on different dates. Last year, the printed version was applied on January 17th and 24th, 2021, while the digital version was applied on January 31st and February 7th.
Another difference is that registration for the digital Enem can only be carried out by a limited audience, while registration for the printed Enem can be carried out by everyone.
In the digital version, the test is applied by computers and the templates are filled in digitally. Digital proofs can also gain audiovisual tools such as videos, infographics, games and other resources of this nature.
However, it follows the same application policy, with 180 questions plus an essay and divided into two days, and during the application of the test it is not possible to access the internet.
The printed version is the classic one, which has no registration restrictions, and any individual, even if they have not completed high school, can register. The only requirement to take the test is that the citizen has a CPF.
The digital version has a limit to register, since after reaching the maximum number of available places, it is no longer possible to register to take the test. According to information from the PreparaEnem portal, the first two digital editions had an offer of 101,100 places.
