An unidentified waiter reported a more than unusual issue on Reddit and shocked people on the social network. In his post, he wrote that his boss had scolded him for being hungry at work, criticizing him. In his view, this was configured as a lack of preparation for the day at work. The waiter, despite having found the situation very bad, said that his biggest problem was the fact that he could not pay for his meal.

It all started after a customer, who had overheard the waiter complaining of hunger to his colleagues, discussed the situation with management. Later that same day, the head waiter forwarded messages to him that said, “In the afternoon, we received a complaint from a customer earlier today that you were overheard complaining of an upset stomach due to not eat. You can explain?"
The waiter explained that he had gone to work with hunger, because there was no way to pay for food. Shortly after responding, his boss said, “It is the responsibility of every employee to come fully ready and prepared to work so that we can give 100% to our customers. That means coming to work fully rested, fueled and dressed.”
