O Credit Order Document (DOC) is a type of bank transfer that has a maximum limit of R$ 4,999.99 and can only be made by institutions authorized by the Central Bank.
When the chosen operation is the DOC, the money is debited from the issuer on the same day, however, the recipient receives the money within 1 business day, which may take up to 2 business days.
The deadline for sending DOCs on weekdays is 9:59 pm Brasília time.
A Available Electronic Transfer (TED) was created by the Central Bank in 2002. Before, the minimum limit per transfer was BRL 250.00, but since January 15, 2016 there is no longer a limit for carrying out this operation.
Unlike the DOC, when performing the TED the money can take up to 60 minutes to be in the recipient's account. However, the deadline for carrying out this operation is up to 5 pm Brasília time, which may change according to the bank.
Another important point is that it is only possible to do it on business days, so if done on holidays and weekends, the money will only be credited on the next business day.
