ChatGPT is a technology of Artificial Intelligence capable of generating information and texts ready for students through a chatbot. Technology is very useful, but some students are using it dishonestly and the presence of the ChatGPT at Universities is becoming more and more real, which has been quite worrying, after all some students are handing in work done by chatbot.

Technology, if well used, has a lot to help in the learning process, the big problem is when some students use it to save themselves from academic work.
An example of this is the case that happened at the University of Northern Michigan. Professor Antony Aumann came across a perfect text by one of his students, which made him very surprised, after all, the work used succinct paragraphs, but very well argued and full of examples correct.
Surprised with the quality, Aumann decided to ask the student if that text had actually been written by him, so the student replied that it would have been done by a ChatGPT.
What is a ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is an Artificial Intelligence that works through a chatbot, which is capable of providing incredible answers and full of real information.
What solution was found to work around the situation?
After knowing who the real author of the text was, Aumann decided to change the way the evaluation happened and then, he started to require student writing to be drafted in a room that has browser blockers on its computers.
Why not combine ChatGPT with learning?
After the negative experience, Aumann decided that for the next semesters, the strategy will be different, the students instead of writing texts about the subjects, they will ask the chatbots and evaluate the answers in class received.
However, Aumann is not the only one to face the situation. Professors at several universities are suffering from ChatGPT and are looking for possible ways to deal with the technology without negatively impacting student learning.
Educational institutions seek solutions as quickly as possible
To get around students transferring their activities to these chatbots, some teachers have adopted more oral tests, group presentations and hand-crafted activities. In addition, some schools in New York and Seattle blocked the possibility of using this artificial intelligence on their Wi-Fi networks.
