In fact, the digital transformation has opened up a range of opportunities that we could not imagine until then. However, this dynamic also opened up space for cybercriminals and people with bad intentions to act in this context as well.
In view of this, taking into account a study by Check Point Research, globally, the education and searches had the highest volume of attacks in 2021, with an average of 1,739 weekly cyber intrusions per organization.

Thus, in more than half of the countries that were evaluated in this study, education is the sector that most suffered the impact of cybercriminal invasions, being the sector most affected with 94% of attacks.
With regard to Brazil, analyzing the national scenario, the number of cybercriminals per organization increased by around 19%, becoming the 17th country that suffered the most attacks on the education sector, such as invasion of online classes, defense of theses and dissertations, among others. In view of this scenario, many educational institutions began to invest in the security sector cybernetics, in order to avoid this type of embarrassment that, until then, is not understood reason.
