Google has been researching to create the “Apprentice Bard”, a chatbot to face the idea of OpenAI and seeks to guarantee new search options for the browser. This information came from the corridors of the company and stated that the AI could be based on LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue).
The media announced that the chatbot has become a priority among Google services to add to the search engine. The highlight would be even greater than it has been for ChatGPT, as Google's AI would make use of recent data to answer the questions presented.
This has been a weakness of OpenAI so far: inaccurate data, plagiarism and inconsistency in responses with information that happened up to 2021. Despite this, it has not been a deterrent for users in general.
Google has already kicked off
A Google experiment was done: they asked the AI if there was a possibility for the company to organize another mass layoff. In a short time, the Apprentice Bard responded that the proposal would be “unlikely” and explained the reasons:
“Dismissals are usually made to reduce costs and structure, but the company is doing well financially,” he said and completed the report. reasoning, “in fact, Google’s revenue is up 34% in 2021 and the company’s stock price is up 70% since January 2021. 2022”.
These are tests that are being leveraged internally. There are chances that all bets win. However, Google has not confirmed, nor denied that it is creating new features. The statement seemed somewhat suggestive.
“We believe that AI is an incredibly useful foundational and transformative technology for individuals, businesses and communities. And, as our AI Principles outline, we need to consider the broader societal impacts that these innovations can have,” said the Google representative.
He added with a passive tone upon questioning, “We continue to test our AI technology internally to ensure that is useful and secure, and we look forward to sharing more experiences externally soon,” the company said through a spokesperson.
