In recent years, a pro-ecological movement has begun to make a difference even in large companies, which have realized that by being more ecological, are more accepted by popular taste, and that's why they are trying to change their internal politics. In this way, the Nestlé will start producing its famous coffee capsules with paper instead of plastic in Europe.

The famous coffee company is increasingly becoming an example of a “green” company. Nespresso, a branch of the company, began to study the possibility of replacing its plastic capsules with paper ones.
Headquartered in Switzerland, Nespresso wants to start replacing, at least for now, in the country. One of the biggest criticisms of Nespresso is precisely the amount of plastic produced, since its capsules do not are returnable and, because of this, the motivation to be more “green” is one more way to adapt to the Marketplace.

According to a statement from Nespresso itself, a survey was conducted with its consumers, and 85% of them reported that they are preferring to spend their money on more ecological companies. In order not to lose these consumers, Nespresso is adjusting how its capsules will be made. In 2023, the company intends to launch its paper-based capsules.
According to Nestlé, these capsules will be made of compressed wood fiber and can be discarded in common trash cans. Thus, they will decompose more quickly and efficiently than current capsules, without the need to be recycled.
Does it affect the taste?
Don't worry, these capsules will not affect the taste of the most varied types of drinks that come in these capsules. As they are made from wood fibres, the taste of the product will not change in any way.
This kind of greener companies movement helps to create awareness in the population and in other companies, and Nestlé is investing in this to be an example when it comes to being a company "green".
