What is cellulite?

Cellulite is nothing more than a metabolic anomaly that causes irregularities in the skin, with bulges and depressions, leaving that famous orange peel appearance that bothers many women.

There is also infectious cellulitis that occurs with the accumulation of fat nodules in the subcutaneous tissue of certain parts of the body, such as the buttocks and thighs.

It develops in the hypodermis, the layer where fat cells are located. With that, the cells that are responsible for storing fat increase in size and push the skin up, which causes this appearance.

Having a balanced diet and drinking plenty of water are the main ways to control the appearance of the skin. Another fundamental tip is the practice of exercises, so talk to a physical education professional about the areas you want to intensify in the exercises.

Citrus fruits that have antioxidants, such as oranges, lemons and pineapples, are excellent for reducing cellulite. In addition, fiber-rich foods, such as oatmeal and other whole grains, are also great treatment options.
