This dessert takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes in total to be ready to be consumed because it needs to go to the fridge, but in general the preparation does not need many steps. Yield is 20 small servings.

Ingredients:

delicacy

  • 1 liter of whole milk
  • 1 box of whole condensed milk
  • 200 ml of coconut milk
  • 1 box of cream
  • 1 cup of tea with corn starch
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons grated coconut

Syrup

  • 1 cup (180g) of sugar
  • 2 cups of tea (480 ml) of water
  • 20 black plums

Method of preparation:

Start with the snack:

  1. First, put the milk, condensed milk, cream, corn starch and coconut milk in the blender and beat for about 2 minutes;
  2. Then put the mixture in a pan and lead to medium fire;
  3. Cook for 20 minutes or until it starts to thicken. Always stir with a spoon;
  4. Add shredded coconut if you choose to use;
  5. Pour the manjar into a mold preferably those with a hole in the middle and wait to cool for half an hour;
  6. Take it to the fridge and wait 1 hour to stand firm.

Syrup

  1. First put the sugar in a pan and heat it until it starts to caramelize;
  2. Add water and prunes;
  3. Let it boil for 20 minutes, when it should look like syrup;
  4. Wait for it to cool down, then unmold the already frozen manjar and pour the syrup.

Finally, you can serve this wonder!

Some extra tips:

  • If you don't want to prepare the syrup, one option is to buy the plums in syrup;
  • You can use a little coconut oil to grease the mold before pouring the delicacy;
  • There are options to increase the recipe and instead of preparing the plum syrup, make a plum syrup. “burnt” coconut, just put a good amount of grated coconut to brown in sugar in a pan.
