NAME:
A fox once saw a jay fly with a tasty piece of cheese in its beak and sit on a tree. The fox looked affectionately at the crow up there and began to flatter her:
– Good morning, Madam Magpie! You're so beautful today! How shiny your feathers are! I'm sure your voice must surpass that of other birds! – The Magpie was flattered. She had never been praised like that!
– Let me hear a song from her, so I can salute her as the queen of all birds! – continued the fox.
Without a second thought, the proud jay lifted his head and began to caw as best and as loud as he could. As soon as she opened her mouth, the piece of cheese she had in her beak fell to the ground, only to be devoured by the fox.
