Don't use the wrong material to clean your glasses

The moment you see something on your glasses, you want to get rid of it as quickly as possible, so you usually grab the first thing you see to clean them. But most of the time, this is not a good idea.

Here are some materials to avoid:

  • Your shirt, sleeve or other clothing should be avoided as they can scratch your lenses and even make them even more dirty;
  • In addition to leaving them full of lint, paper towels, napkins or toilet paper can scratch the lenses.

Instead of any of these, clean your lenses using a microfiber cloth and a lens cleaning spray. However, we know that using a neutral soap is also an option to remove stains or any other dirt from the lens.

That way, today we bring you the ideal and very detailed step-by-step on how we should clean our lenses with this simple and cheap method using neutral soap. Check it out below!

Step by step to properly clean your lenses

  • First, pass the lenses under running water to help remove excess dust that can scratch the lenses when washing;
  • Then apply the neutral soap and gently rub the lenses across the surface of your glasses, making circular movements;

Obs.: Remember to remove any residue from the area between the lens and the rim, which is the ideal place for dirt. In addition, the support of the nose, which accumulates the oils obtained from the face, should not be disregarded.

  • Then remove all the soap present in your glasses. This is important because leaving residues can harm your lens, in addition to generating stains over time.
  • After completely removing the soap, eliminate the excess water by gently shaking the glasses to remove the excess;
  • Finally, dry the glasses with a soft paper or tissue, as any moisture can cause stains when dry.
