Holidays in 2023

Holidays are those in which the date generally falls on a Thursday, and the days of release from work and/or student obligations are amended until the working Monday. As for national dates that fall on a Thursday, we will see this happen 7 times in 2023. If we take into account the statutory holidays, this occurrence increases to 9 times in the next year.

What is the difference between national and optional holidays?

National holidays are those holidays valid throughout the national territory, determined by federal law. Optional holidays are valid for public servants, and municipalities and states can determine whether this stoppage of activities is valid in their territory. For example, Carnival, Corpus Christi are optional celebrations.
