A optical illusion it can occur when we least expect it, and that's what happened to Amber Dubois. When she was taking a lunch break in a common area of Boston, she soon spotted her favorite animal: squirrels. Excited to capture the moment, she pulled out her cell phone and thought she'd taken the perfect shot, until she showed it to her co-worker.

Can you see the squirrel behind the tree?
The optical illusion shows a squirrel's head on one side of the tree and the lower half of the animal on the opposite side. However, it is not an elongated animal as it appears in the image, but actually two squirrels, one on each side of the tree, creating the perfect optical illusion. "I didn't realize when I took the photo that it looked like a very long squirrel, one of my coworkers warned me when I showed the photo, and we both had a good laugh," said Dubois.
“I will take pictures of any animal that appears or is introduced to me, like squirrels, koalas, snakes, tarantulas – and the list goes on,” Dubois said. “I have hundreds of wildlife photos on my camera. This is the first one I thought was really worth sharing.”
Squirrels are an attraction in Boston
Born in Belgium and resident of Dubai, Dubois is amazed at how many squirrels she sees in America. She finds these pets particularly adorable because of their small size and fluffy nature.
“I take pictures of squirrels whenever I see them because I think they are so cute,” she said. “I think people who live here don't pay much attention because they probably see them every day. So for me they are a little bit special.”
If you are a wildlife enthusiast, and just like Amber loves squirrels, Boston is the perfect city to visit. They can be found all over Boston, but the perfect season to see them is fall, when nuts are plentiful and they become especially active.
