Several students are already on the countdown! That's because there are less than two months left for registration to open for the main means of access to higher education, the National High School Examination (Enem 2023). The test is carried out by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) and the Ministry of Education (MEC) of the Federal Government.
The test was created in 1998, and aims to evaluate the performance of students who complete high school, as well as serve as a selection process for admission to universities and federal institutes of higher education in the country.

Enem 2023: registration ends this Friday, but fee can be paid…
Registration for Enem 2023 starts at 10:00 am on May 8th and runs until 11:59 pm on May 19th, through the Participant's Page (Federal Government system). However, the public notice with the normative instruments and schedule of the National High School Examination (Enem) 2023 has not yet been released by Inep in the Official Gazette.
ENEM is composed of four areas of knowledge: Languages, Codes and their Technologies (which includes Portuguese, Literature, Foreign Language, Arts, Physical Education and Information and Communication Technologies); Mathematics and its Technologies; Human Sciences and their Technologies (which includes History, Geography, Philosophy and Sociology); and Natural Sciences and their Technologies (which includes Chemistry, Physics and Biology). In addition, it also has the essay, where the student needs to develop a dissertative-argumentative text.
A test fee waiver is granted to students who meet certain criteria. Are they:
Be in the 3rd year of high school in a public school in 2023;
Complies with Federal Law No. 12,799/2013 (students from public schools or full scholarship holders from high schools individuals who have a monthly family income of up to 1.5 minimum wages per person within the candidate's family group interested);
Registered in CadÚnico.
