NAME:
Two young men, best friends, were traveling through the forest. In the far reaches of the forest, they suddenly came across a fierce grizzly bear. One of the men immediately climbed a tree and hid among the branches. The second man quickly fell to the ground, pretending to be dead. He had read that this could deter bears from attacking. The bear reached the place where the man was lying on the ground and sniffed everything around him. The man held his breath and prayed that he would get very still. The bear sniffed his head and put his muzzle right in the man's ear. Then, convinced the man was dead, he left. A little later, when it seemed safe enough, the man in the tree came down and, with a nervous laugh, asked his friend what the bear had whispered in his ear. His friend replied quietly:
- The bear told me never to travel with someone who abandons you in times of difficulty!
