First of all, it is important to highlight that the benefit is focused on those who earned, on average, up to two minimum wages with a formal contract and worked for more than 30 days in the year prior to the allowance wage.
These employees are entitled to receive PIS/PASEP. However, in addition to these criteria, you must have been registered with the PIS/PASEP for at least five years and have the information updated by the employer in the Annual Social Information List (Rais).
The PIS/PASEP values will depend on the number of months that the employee has carried out his remunerated activity, and may reach the range of one minimum wage.

For employees of private sector companies, PIS is withdrawn through Caixa Econômica Federal. However, for civil servants, the PASEP payments are made by Banco do Brasil.
