According to the editorial of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), when replacing the old satellite dish with the new one, users will be able to access the new state-of-the-art equipment generation. In this sense, the promise is to improve sound and image quality, in addition to avoiding interference in the 3.5 GHz frequency dedicated to the use of fifth generation mobile networks (5G).
According to the regulatory agency's schedule, the 5G band should go into operation on June 30, 2022. This is also the maximum amount of time that the telecom companies that won the auction have to clean up the spectrum and make it ready for use.
According to a survey released by the Ministry of Communications, around 10.5 million people registered in CadÚnico still use a parabolic to capture signals. In addition, another 9.5 million citizens not enrolled in the social program use this band. It is worth noting that, to receive the kit, you must be registered with CadÚnico.
The City Hall makes regular visits to the homes of low-income families to carry out registrations. However, if a family that is not yet registered has the necessary requirements and is interested in enrolling in the CadÚnico, she can go to a Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) in her city and request the register.
Another important factor is that the main person responsible for the family, preferably a woman, must present a CPF or Voter Registration Card to register. It also helps to have a proof of address (water or electricity bill) to help with efficiency, although it is not mandatory. Finally, it is essential that, following the family register, the data is kept up to date in order to have access to the benefits.
