According to information from the Siga Antenado portal, a platform created exclusively for users to take your doubts about the parabolic kit, this measure is motivated by the introduction of 5G technology in the territory national.
This new form of transmission uses the same radio frequency range as the TV signal, which is currently intended for transmission through conventional antennas. Therefore, in places where 5G is activated, the old analogue TV signal is deactivated.
For this reason, many users have been reporting frequent interruptions and even times when TVs still connected to the old signal simply stop working.
With an interest in resolving this inconvenience, the Federal Government decided to offer the parabolic kits, which, we reiterate, are free and intended for low-income people who cannot migrate to the 5G signal without the help governmental.
After installing the kit, needy families can finally have access to a modern TV signal and then enjoy quality image and sound on free-to-air TV programming.
Firstly, those interested in purchasing the satellite dish kit must reside in one of the cities covered by the free offer of equipment.
According to information from the Ministry of Communications, currently 439 cities are part of the program.
In addition to being in a contemplated city, the applicant must also have a satellite dish already installed at home. The equipment can be the same that was previously used in the residence.
Having fulfilled all the requirements, the beneficiary must contact the number 0800 729 2404 or the Siga Antenado website to order the kit. In the request, the person must inform some personal data, such as CPF and Social Registration Number (NIS).
