The authorities are still calculating the damage caused by the attacks on the Three Powers that took place in Brasília last Sunday, January 8th. The reconstruction should happen gradually and with the help of several entities. Some public universities are moving and offering help for the reconstruction of the seats of Powers: Federal Supreme Court (STF), National Congress and Planalto Palace.
According to the newspaper Newspaper, the contribution of public universities ranges from technical to intellectual assistance. The idea is to strengthen democratic institutions.

The Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) is one of the educational institutions that offered to help the federal government. The Center for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets (Cecor), a complementary body of the university's School of Fine Arts, placed a team at Planalto's disposal.
On a voluntary basis, as verified by Folha, they will assess the damage to the works of art. It is worth remembering that many of them were vandalized. A special highlight goes to the canvas “Mulatas”, by Di Cavalcanti, which was pierced with a sharp object.
The University of Brasilia (UnB) also came forward to help the federal government. Professors and former students, in partnership with the Federal Institute of Brasília, will work to develop a plan to help the Three Powers.
The Federal University of Pampa (Unipampa) and the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) also made themselves available to help rebuild Brasília. Both should help, mainly, with regard to the diagnosis of what was plundered and the next steps to restore the seats of Powers.
To Folha, Celso Fernandes, director of the Faculty of Law of the University of Sao Paulo (USP), pointed out that the actions that took place in Brasilia should move courses of Rightall over the country.
“I think some things can be done. Of course, with limitations, as this eventual help from the university ends up having, at times, a more political-militant character than exactly academic. So, you have to be careful”, he said.
