Continents are large tracts of land that exist on our planet. Brazil, for example, is a country that is located on a continent: America. Africa, on the other hand, is a continent made up of 53 countries.
The African continent is one of the largest there is. In size, Africa is second only to Asia and America. On the other hand, it wins wildly from the European continent: it is three times bigger.
In Africa, 13 of every 100 people in the world live. Likewise, if we divided into 100 equal pieces all the lands on our planet that are not underwater, Africa would have 22 parts. A good slice, no?
