The readjustment of benefit was determined with the aim of making the value compatible with the current prices of 13 kg cooking gas cylinders. According to information from the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), the average price of the product in SP was R$112 between May 15th and 21st.
The increase was announced during a visit that the governor of SP made to a beneficiary who lives in Jaraguá, in the north region of the capital. According to Rodrigo Garcia, there is an increase in the state's social programs, but within the limits allowed by law.
Families interested in checking whether they are entitled to the benefit can access the websites of the People's Scholarship, a program created by the government of SP to support people in situations of social vulnerability. It is also possible to contact Bolsa do Povo by calling 0800-7979 800 and by WhatsApp at number (11) 98714-2645.
Another option for getting information is to visit the gas voucher website to check the eligibility criteria for the program and see if you fit. In addition, you can ask for information at the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS).
Benefit payments are made in bimonthly installments, as, according to the federal government, a family takes an average of 70 days to use a gas cylinder, considering a daily use of 3 hours.
This year, payments are being made in even months and occur on the same dates as the installments in the Auxílio Brasil program, which follow the order of the final number of the social registration number (NIS). Therefore, if you are a beneficiary of the program, you need to pay close attention to this schedule.
