Mark Thackeray (Sidney Poitier) is an engineer, _____________ became unemployed and decided to teach in London. He begins teaching mostly white students at a school in the working-class neighborhood of the East End. Thackeray is then faced with unruly and rowdy teenagers who are determined to destroy his classes.
